What is Microneedling

Microneedling is a cosmetic and dermatological procedure that involves using fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin. These punctures stimulate the body's natural healing process, leading to increased collagen and elastin production.

  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin texture and tone, treats acne scars and other types of scarring, enhances skin elasticity, and promotes hair growth.

    • A topical anesthetic may be applied to numb the skin.

    • A handheld device or roller with fine needles is used to make punctures in the skin.

    • The depth and number of punctures vary depending on the treatment goals and individual skin type.

    • After the procedure, the skin may be red, irritated, and slightly swollen.

    • Most side effects resolve within a few days.

    • It is important to avoid sun exposure and use gentle skin care products during the recovery period.

    • Multiple treatments may be required for optimal results.

  • Yes, radiofrequency (RF) microneedling is generally considered better than traditional microneedling because it produces faster, more dramatic results. RF microneedling can also address a wider range of skin concerns.
